Love the colors for the Hero Arts Challenge earlier this week (actually Monday 9/7). Here's my favorite Hero arts doggy stamp and that pretty fall color pallette!

It's been WARM in Seattle!

Finally a little reprieve from the heat today - we hit 98 - which is a lot cooler than 105 which we had yesterday!

I could hardly bring myself to work on the project - yesterday, but found some time today - too bad my Cuttlebug wasn't working that well. It could be the heat - the sizzlets just were not cutting even with shims! :(

I still want to share my Jenni Bowlin project though...it's a little mini album with a sliding box/case thing. It didn't really come out how I had envisioned, but the kids like it and that's what counts.

"Cousins album"....

I used lots of Jenni Bowlin (whatever I could get my hands on locally), some Rusty Pickle, and bits and pieces of this 'n that....
Check out that big round thing - it's a mondo paper clip that you embellish with pictures or paper...I chose papers but the other side of the paper clip has more space - so I put pictures on the opposite side! :)

I'm going to cool off now - it's still a tad on the warm side - even with A/C running!

I was lucky enough to spend the afternoon with a few lovely ladies that I used to work with at the Seattle Times.
(l-r: Krista, me, Lori, Jill)

This is an incredible group of friends- they are beautiful, classy, smart, humorous, and totally FUN to be with! Thanks ladies, for your company and spending a superb afternoon on the waterfront doing what I'm best known for - EATING OUT! :)

A card in 20 minutes

There's a challenge for blog candy on Glenda's blog, Glenda's Papers, Scissory & Rocks: Make a card in 20 minutes or less and this was a fun card to do! See the challenge here:
http://papersscissorsrocks.blogspot.com/2009/04/random-amusing-challenge-19-blog-candy.html

The hardest part was punching eggs through the textured cardstock (and the bird too).... They came from the Impress store in Seattle/Tukwila. Their sale starts today by the way....20% off everything! I believe it lasts through Sunday. Enabler, I know....

Good luck! :)

Autumn Leaves brand clear stamp set for sale

This set is from Autumn Leaves. It's sort of a large stamp set but the images range from big to small so it's a great variety and they stamp beautifully. The set for sale is new/unused/unopened. I am not sure how I bought a duplicate set, but the new one is for sale.

$15 includes shipping. I will send it in an envelope. If you'd like insurance please add $1 more.

Email me if interested - eyp963@msn.com

Thanks much!

More PTI stuff

This is for the sketch from PTI. The colors got sort of 'glare-ful'....it's actually Tangerine Tango, Baja Breeze, and So Saffron...with a big flash to throw the colors off!
I wanted to get this up before the PT drawing, so I had to use this pic. My house is on the dark side and I am a terrible photographer on top of that!
The larger flowers are popped up on dimensionals, and the saying looks crooked but it is straight on the card.
Have a great evening and if you are looking at PTI, good luck with the button guessing!

Holiday Card Share 12.07.08

Just a quick card or two....they're not photographed that well because I took the pics at night. You know how it is in Seattle where skies are grey during the DAYTIME. I did my best.

Erin's in the fountain again...

All the grandkids have always loved playing in the fountain outside the kitchen window at my MIL's place....When we were there in September as my MIL passed on, the youngest kids all held up the tradition - and ended up in the fountain. (One of the kids used to carry buckets of water from the beach over to the fountain and it reminded us of the Sorcerer's Apprentice - soooo cute!) That was 16 years ago though...

For now I thought these pics would be fun to share:

I wish it were warmer here in Seattle but we've got stormy weather today. :(

Zest Blog

For Zest Blog's WCMD Challenge - Christmas cards in NON-traditional colors! I chose red, white and blue!

They will be going out for Gina's event to soldiers who may then send them off to their loved ones or special people~

They use basic white (PaperTrey), Riding Hood Red, and a heavy light blue cover stock that I picked up somehwere. The cards need to be relatively simple and somewhat flat. So there you have it!

WCMD Limelight #6

Well the power went out because of the storm but it's back on now. But I have some catching up to do!

Sleeping person in my house....fake sleeping I think.

WCMD #5 - (Hidden) Candy!

I HAD to hide it in our house...it would be gone in a flash if not...I've already been found on a couple other spots (one was in the big basket of plastic recycle bags...someone found it too soon)...so now I'm putting candy here. (There's also a stash in my car! LOL)

When you open the 'house', those shelves used to have scrapbooking or stamping stuff...see the top shelf? (Stamps!) Now the candy is hiding on the bottom shelf. I can get 4 or 5 bags of candy in there! The roof top also opens up and there's a bag in there too! Kids don't look there because it normally has stamps -- nothing that they're interested in! :)

my boring mousepad for Limelight's WCMD #4

It's terribly boring. I photographed it outside because the flash kept going off inside and it has a slightly satiny finish which was really annoying.....

there it is...plain as can be. From Target. Stitched nicely around the edges though ;-)

WCMD Cards

First is a card for Limelight Paper Crafts - it's a 1/2 done card! LOL That was too easy. The stickles are wet so I am waiting before I put anything else on there. I will add ribbon and a greeting and be done later! :)

Images are Stampin up. Cameo Coral, Mellow Moss and Blush Blossom. There is stippling of pearlized paint behind the butterflies, and lots of dots of Stickles on both panels.

It sure takes long to dry in our humid weather!

ttfn~
